Understanding where Grapa Studio comes from means understanding the trajectory of Joan Rivas, an entrepreneurial cabinetmaker who started in 1977 in a small cabinetmaking workshop. If there was one thing that distinguished him from most carpenters of the time, it was his control of the entire production process: from sales and design to production and final assembly. A craft work hybridized with the act of designing.
Since then, the path has evolved by hybridizing technology and craft, taking wood as the protagonist. This background culminates in our current method at Grapa Studio, where the space and furniture design has a contemporary identity.
